Worker Designation – This role is a remote role. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

• Strong knowledge of the design, delivery, administration and evaluation of training programs

 

• Strong personal computer skills

 

• Working knowledge of adult education theories and learning styles

 

• Knowledge of various training methods, including e-Learning, Intranet, and Internet

 

• Strong project planning and management skills, including cost benefit analysis

 

• Excellent presentation, oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills to effectively interact and negotiate with internal/external customers and senior management

 

• Ability to present material and adopt training materials to a wide variety of audiences

 

• Ability to write material for needs analysis, training proposals, training manuals, and training course content

 

Education & Experience Required

Bachelor's Degree Education or a related field 5 or more years of work related experience in developing and conducting training sessions.

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

 

Education & Experience Preferred

Training certification 4 years of supervisory, managerial, and/or leadership experience. Industry Experience – Disability and Absence Management PMI Certifications or Green Belt Certification in Lean Six Sigma

 

Travel

Less than or equal to 10%

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Develops evaluation and validation instruments to collect and interpret data assessing the organization’s needs and the effectiveness of the training programs; develops standards for monitoring training effectiveness; conducts regular observations of trainers to assess effectiveness and enhance trainer development; ensures that feedback programs provide guidance to correct/address problems

 

• Manages, motivates, and coaches the training, knowledge management and/or content development teams; provides consistent and constructive feedback to employees; develops, or identifies employees’ training and resource needs; establishes priorities; schedules daily work and monitors the quality and quantity of work performed by the unit and the individuals within the unit; consults with Supervisors to recommend promotions and terminations

 

• Oversees training efforts to ensure that necessary education tools are provided to employees; identifies and communicates training needs and schedules with Administrative Operations leadership; projects staffing requirements for the new hire classes; guides supervisors in coaching and counseling employees; coordinates employee development and incentive initiatives

 

• Manages, coordinates, and administers the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the work planning and scheduling process, and the human resources, capital planning, and budgeting processes; stays abreast of industry trends, processing technology changes and new developments, and makes appropriate recommendations for technology applications to management; develops appropriate measures or standards for performance and uses these to monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve the progress and results of projects and services

 

• Assists with the development and implementation of approved plans to support the achievement of department/division goals; leads, plans, implements, and/or participates on projects and services to support and improve existing processes and services

 

• Ensures the timely and accurate dissemination of information, incentives, rewards, and/or recognition; ensures that appropriate documentation is developed as required by organization and/or vendor standards and methods; ensures that a current and historical library is maintained on all department/project activity, system implementation, upgrades and modifications, policies, and procedures

 

• Performs other duties as required

 

Total Rewards

The salary range for this job is $80,000 to $125,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.

 

At Aflac, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role to allow for future and continued salary growth, and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
