Your Key Responsibilities To carry out the metallurgical laboratory and quality engineer activities, performing audits to the process and product, also protecting the QS in the heat treat lines. As metallurgist must perform the routine analysis and attend the special analysis, failure analysis, submit metallurgical reports and participate in the work teams to launch or improve the heat treat process. In the metallurgical laboratory must create and update the inspection methods (work instruction, formats and its implementation) to heat treated parts, evaluate the product’s quality after heat treat. Participate in the FMEA, Heat Treat control plans, corrective actions and engineering changes as part of the core team. Perform non destructive testing and support to the operation in the techniques (MPI, Eddy Current, Nital Etching). This position must be the back up of the metallurgist leader. Your Qualifications

Education level: Bachelor degree

Language: English 80% (Advanced in both the written and spoken language). 

Skills and knowledge: knowledge of metallurgy topics, mainly related with heat treatment, phase transformation, microstructures and mechanical properties of material.
