The Metal Machine Operator is responsible for set up and operating metal fabrication equipment while working under limited supervision within assigned areas in a manner which meets or exceeds established quality and quantity standards.

Responsibilities:

Set up, adjustment, and operation of a variety of metal fabrication equipment including, but not limited to press brake, punch presses, tube benders, saws, and wire forming machinesFollow engineering drawings and blueprints to perform the workAchieve high standards regarding quality of partsDetermine required materials and follow sequence of tasks on production ordersComplete thorough inspection of partsMaintaining equipment, as well as an to be clean and safe work environment

Working hours: 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Education:
No Degree Required

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:

Six (6) months experience operating metal forming equipmentThe ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprintsExperience with tape measures, calipers, and other measuring instrumentsReading text and documents, numeracy, writing and oral communications within team environmentProblem solving, critical thinking, planning, prioritizing and organizingAbility to operate hand toolsAbility to stand for long periods of timeLight to moderate lifting
