Mergers & Acquisitions Product Manager @MMCTech

The Mergers & Acquisitions Product Manager plays a crucial role in steering the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of key OWG Tech initiatives, with a strong emphasis on mergers and acquisitions (M&A).

This position ensures alignment with the company’s strategy, commitments, and goals while adhering to best practices in both product and initiative management. As an internal role, the Technical Product Manager supports initiatives and teams across Oliver Wyman, focusing on consulting within our Technology organization, particularly in the M&A landscape.

We will count on you to:

Collaborate with the Senior M&A Manager and other stakeholders to gather and document business requirements specifically related to M&A activities;

Analyze and translate business requirements into functional specifications for Tech teams, ensuring they align with M&A objectives;

Perform in-depth analysis of key business problems within the M&A context, interpret results, generate insights, and recommend strategies;

Create detailed documentation, including business process models, use cases, and user stories to support M&A initiatives effectively;

Serve as a liaison between Tech, business units, and external partners to ensure alignment on M&A initiatives and facilitate smooth integration;

Facilitate meetings and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and initiative updates to stakeholders and the Senior M&A Manager;

Assess existing tech systems and tools to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement specifically in the context of M&A;

Collaborate with Tech teams to evaluate and recommend technology solutions that support M&A objectives and enhance integration processes;

Drive and execute OWG Tech initiatives aligned with departmental or organizational strategy, particularly those related to M&A;

Develop effective plans with defined objectives, deliverables, and communication plans tailored to M&A activities;

Manage resources and budget to ensure M&A objectives are met efficiently;

Monitor progress, provide regular updates, and coordinate activities across departments involved in M&A;

Identify potential risks and challenges related to tech integration during M&A activities and propose mitigation strategies;

Support the development of contingency plans to address unforeseen issues arising from M&A;

Participate in post-merger integration activities to ensure successful alignment of tech systems and processes;

Gather feedback from stakeholders to assess the effectiveness of tech solutions implemented during M&A;

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation and closure reports, highlighting areas for improvement in M&A processes;

Report health and status utilizing agreed initiative management systems and tools;

What you need to have:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field;

5+ years of experience in product and initiative management, with a strong focus on business analysis in M&A contexts, managing cloud implementations within large organizations;

Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, negotiation, and consensus building, complemented by excellent written and verbal communication abilities;

In-depth knowledge of tech initiative management methodologies and frameworks, along with information management practices and tech solution delivery processes, particularly in M&A;

Proficient in budgeting, invoicing, and initiative financial management, supported by excellent analytical and technical skills;

Proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, especially in M&A scenarios;

Highly organized with exceptional planning capabilities, a strong customer service orientation, and a polished, professional demeanor;

Proven ability to plan and facilitate effective meetings, deliver strong presentations, and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously;

Strong analytical skills to assess needs, user feedback, and product performance, driving data-informed decision-making in the context of M&A;

Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA), Project Management (e.g., PMP), and/or Scrum Master certification;
