**About the Role**
This role will report to the head of GR in Spain and is crucial to driving excellence in GR operations: we are looking for the end-to-end owner of the merchant journey, from the moment an order is received in-store to the moment it is handed off to the courier.
The purpose of this role will not only be to increase operational efficiency for merchants by improving all aspects of their store experience, but also will contribute to enhancing outcomes for customers and couriers. Additionally, this person will be the main point of contact for central merchant ops teams, working closely with product, operations, and go-to-market teams to shape product improvements and launch operational initiatives tailored to local needs.
**What You’ll Do**
- **Data insights**: you'll leverage the power of data to generate insights. By analyzing vast datasets, you'll uncover trends and patterns to unlock experience improvements. Your ability to interpret complex data, and communicate findings will be critical in driving the continued success in the order journey.
- **Initiatives:** using the data insights, you’ll be responsible for shaping initiatives to improve experience and achieve targets.
- **Execution:** In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of turning ambitious ideas into tangible results. You’ll execute growth initiatives from concept to completion, ensuring flawless execution at every stage. This involves coordinating with diverse teams,creating processes, launching new products, managing resources, and overseeing project timelines to deliver high-impact outcomes that drive business growth.
- **Experiment**: experimentation is key to innovation and growth. You’ll design, execute, and evaluate experiments. By testing hypotheses, exploring new ideas, and leveraging testing, you'll identify opportunities for optimization and expansion. Your ability to embrace ambiguity and take calculated risks will be crucial in driving continuous growth in our platform
- **Stakeholder management**: Effective stakeholder management will be crucial to driving success across various initiatives. You’ll build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment on goals and priorities. This involves clear communication, influencing, managing expectations, and navigating complex needs across cross-functional teams and leadership.
**What You’ll Need**
- **A minimum of 4 years in operations roles with analytical component;** background in an operations role in a fast paced startup preferred
- **Proficient in SQL and Excel**\- we will NOT consider any candidate without this
- **Data driven decision making mentality** and sound business judgment through **strong critical thinking**
- **Operational problem-solving mindset —** eager to dig into processes, improve them, and scale them
- **Attention to detail**
- **Executor with bias for action and a proactive personality:** ability to **take initiative** in a constantly changing work environment adopting a generalist can-do mindset
- **Creative 360 thinker:** you are able to think outside the box and come up with new approaches and initiatives to reach ambitious growth targets
- Excellent verbal and written **communication skills**. You have a **very good level of written and spoken English and Spanish.**
- The role will be based in Madrid
- Experience or interest on the grocery & retail space is a plus
