**About the Role**
Uber is transforming the future of grocery & retail, building the world’s best and biggest marketplace for on-demand delivery of all local commerce. As part of the Global Merchant Operations team for Grocery & Retail (GR), you will help to ensure an exceptional experience for the merchants on the Uber platform. You will support our merchants as they partner with Uber to grow their business and provide a world-class delivery experience to customers.
In this role, you will work closely with local operations and commercial teams around the globe, as well as GR leadership and product development teams. Specifically, you will lead projects that have the ultimate goal of ensuring we provide an outstanding platform for our merchants - continuously improving Uber's processes, programs, and products to do so.
This role calls for a well-rounded combination of analytical ability, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, collaboration skills, and operational excellence. We operate in a fast-paced environment, so we are looking for a highly adaptable candidate who can thrive in a dynamic culture.
**What You'll Do**
- Strategic Vision & Leadership: Partner with senior leaders to define the long-term vision for merchant engagement, and lead the organization in delivering scalable and merchant-centric solutions
- Merchant-first culture: Champion ways of working and merchant engagement strategies that maintain & advance a robust merchant-first mindset
- Merchant feedback initiatives: Continuously enhance the organization’s approaches to soliciting and synthesizing “voice of the merchant” feedback, including strategies for translating insights into action
- Leadership presentation & communication: Synthesize key insights into clear recommendations for leadership and cross-functional teams
- Stakeholder management: Build alignment across leadership, product, legal, operations, and commercial teams, and influence decision making with data-based recommendations
- Cross-functional collaboration: Establish strong relationships across the organization and work closely with many business areas (local operations, business development, product, etc.)
**Basic Qualifications**
- Bachelor's Degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in strategy, operations, finance, consulting, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional stakeholder management experience and program management skills
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), to effectively engage and drive consensus across technical and non-technical audiences
- Advanced Excel/google sheets and data analysis skills
- Demonstrated ability to run complex programs end to end with very high attention to detail
- Experience engaging with and influencing senior leadership to shape and execute strategy across global or cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated success in leading strategic planning cycles, including setting vision and operationalizing initiatives through execution
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Master's Degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related field
- Experience in the grocery and/or retail industry
- SQL
- Strong track record of driving a vision and leading multi-stakeholder initiatives that influence organizational direction and cultural change
- Experience managing and coaching high-performing team members
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$155,000 per year - USD$172,000 per year.
