Merchanidse Coordinator

The Merchandise Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the merchandising team to ensure seamless execution of product launches, promotions, and vendor setups. This role maintains key documents, communicates with vendors, and supports the day-to-day execution of merchandising processes. The Coordinator also helps track timelines, manage data entry, and ensure accurate product setup across systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Support the item setup process by entering and validating SKU information in merchandising systems. Coordinate new product setup forms, vendor onboarding documents, and category data files. Assist with tracking promotional calendars, planograms, and assortment changes. Maintain shared documentation, including item files, assortment plans, pricing worksheets, and vendor lists. Communicate with vendors and internal teams to gather product specs, images, and samples. Coordinate product samples and internal sample reviews. Help route marketing materials and promotional signage for category events. Track deliverables and support follow-up on action items with cross-functional teams. Help organize and prepare content for line reviews, merchandising meetings, and vendor presentations.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred. 1 year of administrative or coordination experience in merchandising, marketing, retail, or a related environment preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively. Familiarity with retail terminology and product lifecycle stages is a plus.

Regularly required to sit, use hands, talk, and hear; occasionally lift up to 20 pounds. Requires close vision and extended use of a computer. Regular use of standard office equipment (computer, copier, phone, etc.). This role operates in a standard office environment.
