Own end-to-end assortment, financials, and overall department strategy and use data to drive decisions. Select appropriate assortment, set pricing, develop plans, and ads to promote strong sales. Ensure execution of and establish store accountability for sales plans for the department through frequent and timely store visits; encourage valuable feedback from store, area, and district leadership that provide opportunities to increase sales and profits. Balance time in stores and office to ensure Merchandising strategies and plans are written, delivered, and executed with excellence. Address issues that hinder stores' ability to meet/exceed customers' expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, cleanliness, pricing, regulatory and food safety.  Partner with Corporate to coordinate the Merchandising strategies and plans when appropriate, including the achievement of all budgeted goals for their department. Coach and develop direct reports and stores teams to achieve and execute all goals and company strategies. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
