Position Summary: The Merchandising Operations Manager is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of operational processes that support the merchandising team. This role serves as the bridge between merchandising, planning, store operations, supply chain, and IT to ensure smooth implementation of merchandising strategies, product launches, pricing updates, and promotional initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Merchandising Process Management + Oversee the end-to-end workflow of product onboarding, lifecycle management, pricing updates, and markdown execution. + Ensure all merchandise is priced correctly across channels and systems. + Manage item setup processes, ensuring accurate and timely product data entry across platforms. + Partner with planners and buyers to support seasonal planning, SKU rationalization, and category reviews. Operational Execution + Ensure successful execution of product launches, promotional events, and planogram rollouts in coordination with store operations and supply chain. + Troubleshoot and resolve inventory “puzzles” — discrepancies, missing data, or availability issues — with a methodical and research-driven approach. + Support new system implementation through data governance and continuous improvement projects. + Monitor pricing integrity across systems and resolve any inconsistencies in collaboration with pricing teams. Reporting & Analysis + Monitor KPIs such as in-stock levels, turn rates, and sell-through to support business decisions. + Develop and maintain dashboards and tools to track merchandising effectiveness and compliance. + Provide post-mortem recaps of promotions and assortment changes to guide future planning. System & Process Improvements + Collaborate with IT and business process teams to implement system enhancements and automation that improve merchandising efficiency. + Develop and document standard operating procedures for merchandising operations. + Lead or support system testing, UAT, and training related to merchandising tools.
