A well-established commodity trading organization is seeking a driven Merchandiser to join its trading team. In this role, you will be responsible for purchasing and selling commodities, managing strategic customer relationships, and creating supply chain solutions that drive revenue and profitability. You’ll work closely with facility managers, traders, and customers to deliver results in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and develop new business through proactive outreach and cold callsGrow and maintain existing customer relationshipsSolicit, evaluate, and negotiate commodity offers to maximize profitabilityManage contracts, shipping documents, and record retentionImplement hedging and risk management strategiesOversee accounts receivable per company policyCoordinate logistics for timely and cost-effective delivery via barge, rail, and truckEnsure compliance with company and industry trade rulesQualifications & SkillsHigh school diploma or GED requiredPrior commodity trading/ merchandising experience preferredStrong negotiation, relationship-building skillsAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office; can learn new systems quicklyWillingness to work in various environments, including outdoor and warehouse settingsYour New Organization
