Merchandise Specialist- Full Time

Join our dynamic team as we embark on a thrilling journey with the opening of our newest store! **Position Summary:** The Visual Merchandising Specialist reports to Assistant General Manager, and assists store leadership with merchandise presentations, planogram integrity, visual & seasonal displays, and in-store signage. Will also work with the Base Camp Visual Managers on all aspects of visual in-store projects. **Position Responsibilities:** 1. Partners with department Outfitters to ensure all customer facing merchandise and visual presentation standards are executed to the Base Camp provided Visual Merchandising Directives. The Visual Merchandising Specialist will ensure that overall company brand standards and maintained at the highest level. 2. Assists with product related visual elements such as mannequin displays, bust forms, department visual scenes, endcap planogram execution integrity, seasonal retail events, promotional drive aisle monthly sets, and in-store signage compliance. 3. Will be a key team member in the planning and set-up of local events and major retail events such as Spring Fishing Classic, Spring Turkey Event, Get on the Water Event, Fall Hunting Classic, Flannel Fest, Go Outdoors, and Santa’s Wonderland. 4. The Visual Merchandising Specialist will be a key liaison to the Base Camp Visual Merchandising Team regarding department layout validations and opportunities to improve and create efficiencies in store merchandising execution. 5. Responsible for assembly of small-scale vendor provided displays when needed. 6. Ensures daily that in-store displays are clean, signed, and set to brand standard. 7. Will assist in training and education for department Outfitters regarding merchandising skills, VMD execution, navigating the Sharepoint communication portal. 8. Must be comfortable using a computer & navigating the online communication portal. A basic working knowledge of Microsoft programs will be required. 9. Must be able to work flexible hours and at times before and/or after business hours. **Education and/or Experience:** High School Education or Equivalent Retail merchandising experience in relation to displays, shop layouts, visual props, and customer service. **Communication Skills:** Must be able to partner and negotiate working with several different members of store management. Will often be managing several priorities at one time. Communication should be productive and always work to uphold the Bass Pro Shops standards in presentation and customer experience. **Physical Requirements:** Must be able to stand for extended periods.
