Merchandise Planner: Denim

TFG Design and Manufacturing are forming a New Denim Design & Merchandising Team that will be supplying the entire group with a local QR opportunity for denim on a very fast lead time as well as a research & product development focus. As part of forming this team we require a Denim Merchandise Planner. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Work collaboratively with the buying team & Manufacturing & Production Planning teams in order to manage the Critical Path.  Manage the financial Plan for the D&M Design teams, both seasonally as well as monthly in preparing for strategies & reprojections as well as monthly management meetings  Manage QR Process in the design Team Driving all parties to achieve the desired Critical Path deadlines.  Managing Costing process, seasonal platforms as well as month to month engineering of products along with designers, understanding pricing & fashionability architecture within the retail landscape.  Working with team to actively problem solve daily & to develop processes that support the business.  Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with internal and external partners, including suppliers 

Qualifications and Experience: 

Matric  Relevant 3-year tertiary qualification  3 - 5 years + proven working experience as a Merchandise Planner in the manufacturing Environment  A high degree of numeracy and an analytical, detailed and strategic approach to work  Computer literacy in word, excel (advanced) and plm/erp systems.  Strong business acumen and merchant thinking
