Our Merchandise Assistants provide diversified support for multiple buyers in a dynamic fast-paced work environment. Our Merchandise Assistants possess strong communication skills and act as a liaison between the Buyers, Internal Business Partners, and the Vendor Community. They must also possess strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail. They are resourceful and confident in problem solving. They must be able to work well independently as well as in a team.

Key Responsibilities

To assist Buyers in preparing for their Market week on a Monday by report printing, vendor information etc.

Co-ordinate and communicate Buyers weekly itineraries.

Support Buyers in writing orders and changing POs of non logistic/dating issues.

Ensure that all samples are controlled in an effective and timely manner. Work with Buyers to ensure production samples are received and dealt with appropriately. Action removal of samples in a timely manner and appropriate manner.

Support Buyers in the Market and act as point of contact.

Assist the team with filing, keeping vendor information current and appropriate.

To partner with buyers on key appointments to assist in order writing etc.

Support the team with general administration (post, faxes, photocopying, setting up new buyers, expenses, holiday maintenance, etc).

Organize travel for buying/intake teams.

Support Buyers in preparation for style out, strategy and other meetings (strategy packs, mood boards, samples).

Update vendor list, active and pursue.

Provide research support to find new vendors via internet, magazines, etc. May be involved in business travelling based on Company’s needs.

  Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Microsoft Office knowledge with specific focus on Excel.

Strong organizational skills and able to juggle a number of constantly changing priorities

Good communication skills in English language, both verbal and written

Confident approach and able to work effectively with people at all levels

Able to work effectively without close supervision

LANGUAGES

English (needed – business proficient)

European Languages (represents a plus)
