Job Title: MEP SuperintendentJob Description
The MEP Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing all day-to-day MEP job site activities at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, Massachusetts. This role involves ensuring project team performance, site conditions, safety and quality standards, compliance with scope, and effective management of trade partners.
Responsibilities
+ Oversee, manage, and document all day-to-day MEP job site activities, ensuring OSHA safety compliance.
+ Direct field personnel according to the project plan.
+ Communicate issues, events, performance, and progress daily to the Project Manager.
+ Report any problems promptly to the Project Manager for cost-effective solutions.
+ Establish effective working relationships with clients and team members.
+ Request advice and assistance from the General Superintendent on materials, sequencing, scheduling, and personnel matters.
+ Identify pre-mobilization activities in conjunction with the Project Executive, General Superintendent, and the Project Manager.
+ Develop start-up schedule with Project Manager and send it to the Project Executive and General Superintendent for review.
+ Assist in formulating and implementing construction schedules in the field.
+ Establish and implement the Project Baseline Schedule based on project contracts and subcontractor input.
+ Maintain the schedule and ensure work performed meets or exceeds client expectations.
+ Update Project Schedule monthly and provide progress report with a two-week look ahead to the Project Manager and field staff.
+ Ensure all subcontractors participate in a safety pre-construction meeting before starting work.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of experience as an MEP Superintendent with a focus on Electrical.
+ Experience working on electrical upgrades, specifically Medium Voltage switchgear (4000 amp).
+ Proficiency in project management and construction management.
+ Experience with scheduling, communication with subcontractors, RFIs, change orders, and submittals.
+ Experience with switchgear replacement.
+ Project experience in commercial and infrastructure sectors.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience supporting large-scale commercial or infrastructure projects.
+ OSHA certification required.
+ Prefer experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
+ Open to candidates with 10-20 years of experience.
+ Must complete two references prior to submission.
Work Environment
This position is based on-site at the Hynes Convention Center, with working hours from Monday to Friday.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $80.00/hr.
