Position Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Technicians withAgency Affiliated Counselor (AAC) credentials to join our behavioral healthteam. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting patientsin their recovery journey and contributing to a safe, structured, andtherapeutic environment.
Qualifications:
+ Required:
+ 1+ year of experience in the behavioral health field OR a Bachelor’s degree in a social services-related field
+ First Aid/CPR certification within 30 days of hire (annual recertification required)
+ Food Handler’s Permit within 7 days of hire (must be maintained throughout employment)
+ Minimum of 1 year of sobriety if in recovery
Key Responsibilities:
+ Support patients with daily activities and program schedules
+ Assist nursing staff with patient supervision, vitals, searches, and other tasks
+ Respond to and de-escalate crisis situations with appropriate interventions
+ Conduct patient intakes, belongings searches, BACs, and drug screen observations
+ Monitor and document patient behavior and safety rounds
+ Perform facility and grounds checks, reporting safety concerns promptly
+ Lead or assist with therapeutic groups as directed
+ Maintain accurate and timely documentation
+ Provide transportation for patients as needed (must be approved to drive company vehicles)
+ Attend staff meetings, complete required trainings, and maintain HR compliance
+ Support medication self-administration oversight (if applicable)
+ Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
