We want your knowledge and expertise! **Job Summary and Qualifications** The Mental Health Professional II is to deliver exceptional, patient-focused care by providing supervised mental health services to patients and their loved ones. Their responsibilities include conducting assessments, offering psycho-education, leading process groups, developing treatment plans, and facilitating therapeutic counseling sessions using evidence-based interventions in one-on-one, family, and group therapy. The Mental Health Professional II facilitates high quality, patient-centered care by providing psychiatric treatment services to patients and their families. The Mental Health Professional II performs assessments, psycho-education, process groups, treatment planning, discharge planning and therapeutic counseling support through evidenced based interventions in individual, family, and group therapy. What you will do in this role: + You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of psychiatric patients. + You will instruct patients and families regarding treatment instructions + Demonstrates advanced clinical skills and ability to plan and facilitate individual, group and family psychoeducational and process groups. + Develops treatment plans and attends treatment planning meetings and reviews on an ongoing basis. + Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to assess and coordinate patient’s discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge. Provides guidance on complex issues. + Conducts post-discharge follow-up as indicated. + Facilitates and participates in Community Education, Activities and Support Groups, as appropriate to scope. Requirements: + Master’s degree in a Human Services related field (Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health, or Counseling + Advanced educational preparation or experience in the area of clinical practice and/or management + American Heart Association BLS (within 30 days of hire. + Crisis Intervention Prevention (CPI) training required (within 30 days of hire) **What you will do in this Role:** + Conducts one-on-one, group, and family psychoeducational and process groups. + Develops treatment plans and attends treatment planning meetings and reviews on an ongoing basis. + Assesses environment and patient’s safety status and reports/responds to actual and potential safety issues or changes in the patient's condition. + Identifies risk factors, screening criteria, and interventions for patients with special precautions (e.g., suicide, homicide, falls, elopement). + Completes assessments, group notes, and all other documentation promptly and in compliance with requirements, as appropriate to scope. + Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to assess and coordinate patients’ discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge. + Conducts post-discharge follow-up as indicated. **What qualifications you will need:** + Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date + Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date + Other-Fingerprint Required + Masters Degree + (LCSW) Clinical Social Worker, or (LMFT) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or (PSYCH) Psychologist, or (LPC/LMHC) Licensed Professional/Mental Health Counselor, or (LPC-A/MHCI) Lic Prof Counselor Assoc/Mental Health Intern HCA Florida Largo Hospital is the premier healthcare provider in Pinellas County and beyond.
