**Minimum Qualifications:**
Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work. Current licensure as a Professional Counselor, Psychological Associate, or Clinical Social Worker with five (5) years experience as a LPA, LPC or LCSW.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
Master’s degree in Counseling or Psychology, or a related field. Licensure or eligible for licensure as a Professional Counselor or Psychological Associate.
**Job Summary:**
This position is responsible for providing mental health evaluation and therapeutic intervention to patients. Works under the supervision of a Psychologist, Mental Health Manager, and/or Program Director.
**Job Duties:**
+ Contributes to the success of the UTMB Managed Care organization.
+ Interviews, evaluates and diagnoses patients identified as having mental health needs.
+ Provides individual and group psychotherapy and crisis intervention.
+ Develops, implements and reviews Individual Treatment Plans.
+ Assists with training and education of mental health, medical and other staff.
+ Assists in the implementation of Quality Improvement/Quality Management (QI/QM) programs and the monitoring of compliance with required policies, procedures and standards.
+ Provides routine consultation and communication with supervisor and/or attending provider regarding the status of assigned patients.
+ Completes clinically appropriate and timely documentation.
+ Liaisons with patient, patient families, on-site departments and community agencies to coordinate current treatment and/or facilitate aftercare services
+ Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.
**Salary Range:**
Commensurate with experience.
