Kankakee Country Club is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Membership Sales Manager to lead our membership growth and event sales initiatives. This key leadership role is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing and sales plans. The ideal candidate is energetic, relationship-focused, and passionate about hospitality and private club culture. You’ll be the face of the club to prospective members and event clients, creating memorable first impressions and long-lasting relationships.
Overview: The Membership Sales manager will be driven and relationship-focused leading our membership recruitment and retention initiatives. This position is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing and sales plans that drive membership growth, strengthen member engagement, and enhance community visibility. The ideal candidate is energetic, proactive, and passionate about hospitality and private club culture. Compensation: $40k - $70kKey Responsibilities:
• Oversee the entire membership sales process, including inquiries, tours, applications, and onboarding.
• Proactively generate leads through outreach, networking, local events, referrals, and follow-ups.
• Develop compelling promotional and marketing materials with input from the General Manager, Board of Directors, and team.
• Represent the Club at local business and civic events to increase visibility and attract new members and events.
• Conduct personalized club tours that highlight the amenities, services, and unique value of membership.
• Maintain and manage an organized CRM system with up-to-date prospect records.
• Assist with member retention efforts by building strong relationships with existing members and identifying opportunities for engagement and satisfaction.
• Manage internal and external communications, including social media content, email marketing, print collateral, and updates to the Club’s website.
• Contribute to the annual marketing, membership, and event sales budget planning process.
Qualifications:
• 1–3 years of experience in membership and/or event sales, hospitality, or related fields.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed membership and event sales goals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and CRM platforms.
• Energetic, outgoing personality with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
