As a Member Engagement Lead for the Loyalty team, you will lead the pyramid in delivering upon the Loyalty team’s ambition for Target. You will work closely with partner teams to plan strategic Circle discounts, rewards and experiences, inclusive of program benefits, earn and redeem eco-system, personalized content, early access, and promotions. In this role you will collaborate with the Enterprise Strategy, PPCOE, Data Sciences, Merchant, Roundel, Finance, and Product teams to ensure all rewards are meeting both guest expectations and business objectives to deliver on Circle Ambition.
Lead the Loyalty Strategy for the Pyramid, driving increased member engagement via trips & spend.
Lead internal partnership relationships and activations specific to pyramid. Own & lead cross-functional connection & collaboration to bring activations to life across organization. Foster new partnership ideas based on relationship with business owners.
Deliver 360 benefits through tailored pyramid engagements as the liaison between the benefit strategy and the key business owners.
Manage financial investments of the Loyalty team across pillars & audiences through enterprise financial routines via Pyramids.
Champion and drive loyalty integration within key company strategies, including major seasonal events, strategic initiatives and long-term planning.
Assume role of resident expert of the Loyalty Industry—identifying macro trends that are shaping the industry, major moves by key competitors and strategic impact assessment to Target Circle.
Lead projects that span multiple teams within marketing, operations, PPCOE, Merchants, Product, Digital, Stores, & Data Sciences
To achieve these outcomes, your role will need to engage in the following activities:
Lead with the guest
Creating compelling guest and business cases to support the engagement strategy in fulfillment of Target Circle Strategy.
Aggressively prioritize the efforts of guest engagement strategy creation, testing, insights, and guest learnings to ensure the opportunities with the highest potential are always making progress.
Maintain daily interaction with key stakeholder to ensure success of Target Circle
Build strong, trusted relationships through regular collaboration with PPCOE Strategy, Marketing Loyalty, Finance, and Merchandising DMMs, Stores, Digital Partners technology teams, including product owners, engineers, and data sciences analytics teams
Report and develop weekly action plans on KPI results and on drivers of variance
Analyze root cause using both internal and external reporting tools and drive strategy adjustments as required.
Deliver guest and financial metrics in support of Target Circle
Lead the evolution and strategy creation of Target Circle in service of our ambition and guest expectations. This role will be responsible for developing business strategy, which will set the course for future deployment and long-term guest loyalty.

About You
4-year degree or equivalent work experience
8+ years of previous Loyalty, Marketing Merchandising, or business experience
Strong financial acumen for both retail and cost accounting metrics
Ability to influence others through the use of data and insights
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maximize relationships
Strategic orientation and comfortable with ambiguity
A master collaborator who is able to inspire trust and confidence with a range of partners

MBA
Knowledge of strategy development, problem solving and hypothesis testing
Previous experiences: Finance, loyalty, strategy development, working with cross functional teams, merchandising, product technology development, and project management.
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
