Job Title: Melting Specialist
Division: Weir ESCO
Location: Newton
Onsite/!st Shift
Purpose of Role: Responsible for filling in at any operator position in the Melting Department including, but not limited to AOD Operator, AOD Operator Helper, EAF Operator, Crane Operator, Pourer, and Refractory. Additionally, the Melting Roamer is responsible for housekeeping around the Melting department to include shoveling up waste materials and performing a variety of tasks with various mobile equipment. Assist with training new hires and cross-training others as needed.

Key Responsibilities: (What are the top 4 focus areas of the job, Safety First is required)
· Focus Area: Must be trained and skilled in all job positions within the department and act as a positional floater in the direct labor role as demand dictates
· Focus Area: Must move loads, including ladles of molten metal, through the melting and pouring bays
· Focus Area: Tend to EAF to ensure proper levels, cleanliness and consistency
· Focus Area: Pour molten metal from ladle to molds
· Focus Area: Input and maintain process and pouring records
· Focus Area: Must inform operator or supervisor to any unfavorable pouring conditions such as run-outs, sequence numbers, part numbers, interrupted or short pours
· Focus Area: Must perform refractory work

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications: (Add MAX 4 bullets of desired eligibility requirements)
· Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
· Education: High school diploma/GED
· Certifications/Licenses: Crane and Forklift operator certificate program through WEIR ESCO
