Your Role:

EMD Electronics is seeking an Operations Supervisor for its MEGASYS® team.

The Supervisor will be responsible for safety, leadership, employee development, hands-on support, and field training of shift employees in Semiconductor Gas and Chemical Operations.  This position will lead a shift of up to 15 Megasys technicians in the safe completion of operations and maintenance procedures. The Supervisor will help drive 100% compliance to achieve flawless safety and quality execution and will support total gas and chemical operations, task prioritization, escalations, and completion of other activities. This role will act as a key customer interface for all operations related requests.

 

Responsibilities include:

Drive safety first culture with constant safety messages, communications, and team interaction to meet targets in safety and quality performanceEnsure their team follows and meets all required Basic Safety Process and safety requirements (including performing regular spot checks)Drive a continuous improvement culture of making operational change based on site needs and KPI’sResponsible for change notification and implementing change across shiftWork as a team player with other department supervisors (internal or other onsite service providers)  Support site manager and other supervisor roles during vacation/sick timeShift changeover responsibility reinforcement ensures seamless handoff from shift-to-shift ensuring accurate communication on customer expectations and project deadlinesServe as the main customer contact for all Operations and project activitiesDrive timely completion of all sustaining activities, maintaining ZERO gas or chemical interruptionsCommunicate customer activities: reporting out on delayed service requests, equipment reset status, action item list completionMonitor and reports on any equipment or service excursion and perform appropriate escalation to customerTrain and certify technicians to attain the level of competency required to perform service in each of the skill areas according to the scope of workComplete preventative and corrective maintenancePerform 8D investigations with use of the 8D problem solving formatConduct root cause investigations, develops and closes action itemsMaintain online shift schedule, tracks all attendance and performance related issues and delivers employee feedback as recommended or required

 

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED3+ years supervisory experience in fast paced gas/chemical manufacturing or semiconductor field

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of gas and chemical systems and SEMI construction standardsProficient in MS applications such as SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat2+ years’ experience in facility work order database systems
