Your Role:
EMD Electronics has an opening for a FLSS Technician for its team in Tualatin, OR. The individual will be responsible for supporting operations of Life Safety Systems which include Fire & Gas Detection, Seismic monitoring/shutdowns, scrubbed exhaust sensors, and Fire Protection electrical signals. Ownership of all FLSS and Gas Detection equipment will involve auditing, scheduling maintenance, repairs, system troubleshooting and assisting in review of upgrade projects as required. Participate in testing of Fire detection systems driven by a PM schedule. Support and assist Safety Level 2 gas detection testing with controls engineer, programming, and EHS team. Maintenance on gas detection systems will include performing tape change outs & monthly F2 sensor bump tests. Will also manage gas detection tape inventory and place orders as needed. This role will also work with onsite services to review and issue FLSS permits for campus construction and maintenance activities as required.
Our team supports the facility 24x7. The individual may initially be assigned to a (7:00am - 3:30pm) shift for training. Once shift independent, you may be asked to support a compressed workweek schedule as required. Inexperienced and experienced will undergo comprehensive OJT and a technical training program. High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with FLSS equipment (FACP, Gas Detection, Fire systems)
Associate degree or equivalent experience in electronics, design, or engineering
