What You'll Do

BCG's Global Meetings & Events (M&E) team designs and delivers experiences that enable connection, collaboration, and capability building for our global workforce. We operate at scale across in-person, hybrid, and virtual formats, with a strong focus on operational excellence, risk management, and stakeholder value.

 

We are seeking a strategic, globally-minded leader to join as Director of Strategic Supplier Partnerships. In this role, you will drive the strategy, governance, and evolution of BCG’s supplier operating model within the M&E function. You will lead a global team and oversee third-party partnerships that support our meetings operations worldwide. This is a transformational leadership role focused on supplier strategy, risk mitigation, commercial optimization, and cross-functional alignment.

 

You will engage senior stakeholders across Legal, Procurement, Travel, Finance, and business leadership to align supplier management practices with BCG’s growth ambitions and enterprise standards. This is an ideal role for someone with a background in management consulting, strategic sourcing, or operational transformation who thrives in complexity and is energized by cross-functional leadership.

 

Key responsibilities include:

Set the strategic vision and operating model for supplier partnerships across the global Meetings & Events portfolioLead a global team of 5–7 professionals, plus oversight of an outsourced sourcing team of 30, ensuring delivery quality and strategic alignmentDevelop category strategies in partnership with Legal and Procurement, spanning key service areas such as venues, logistics partners, and hospitality servicesShape supplier governance models, focusing on performance management, risk mitigation, and diversity/inclusion targetsDesign frameworks to evaluate commercial value, vendor performance (SLAs, KPIs), and continuous improvementDrive operational innovation in how BCG sources, manages, and partners with its supplier networkLead stakeholder engagement efforts to ensure internal client satisfaction and supplier model adoptionAct as a change leader, identifying and implementing opportunities for process transformation, digital enablement, and efficiencyServe as executive escalation point for supplier-related issues; resolve conflicts and ensure service continuityRepresent Supplier Partnerships at the M&E leadership level and across global forums; contribute to strategic planning and enterprise alignment

What You'll Bring

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or JD a plus10-12+ years of experience ideally in Meetings & Events related field or within the meeting & events supplier management space5-7+ years in people management preferredExperience working in a global organizationProven ability to influence and communicate at senior executive levelsStrong negotiating skillsDemonstrated success leading change initiativesExcellent analytical, planning, and organizational skillsExperience working in complex, matrixed organizations with global stakeholdersWilling to travel approximately 10-20% of working time.

Who You'll Work With

The Meetings & Events team is part of BCG’s Enterprise Services function which is comprised of 9 additional service lines (BI&A Products and Services, Case Team Services, Data & Product Services, Enterprise Procurement & Payables, Executive Support Services, Global Finance and Operations Services, Global Real Estate, Global Travel, and Hub Management Services) as well as two End to End processes (Lead to cash and Source to Pay).

 

You can also expect to work closely with colleagues across IT, Legal, Finance and other BCG support functions as well as a global network of approved external suppliers. The M&E team supports internal and external-facing events across all BCG functions and regions.

 

You’ll represent supplier management in cross-functional projects and forums, ensuring alignment, visibility, and voice for the supplier management team.
