Make your mark:

Lead the brand-aligned Medical team (in-house and in-field) and ensure its compliance to corporate requirements and processes on medical activitiesDrive Medical Strategy for the Brand within the Brand Team and integrate it into the Brand PlanOversee Medical activities within the Brand Team, according to local resources and regulationsProvide strategic input to pipeline assessments, and ensures crossfunctionally and strategically aligned pre-launch and launch activitiesPresent medical strategy and tactics at business reviewsDevelop consolidated budgets for Medical activitiesPlay an active part within Brand Teams and identify opportunities to work collaboratively with cross-functional colleagues to deliver on brand objectivesEnsure flow of Brand Team Communication to direct reportsDrive the prospective real world evidence generation , oversee investigator initiated studies at affiliate level and ensure alignment with evidence strategy to close prioritized important gapsExplore with other affiliates opportunities for international collaborative studiesLead the planning of medical educational activities to improve standard of care, optimizing HCP knowledge for a better patient careFoster a digital mindset/digital transformation of the teamOversee market access supportUnderstand AbbVie in-licensing opportunities for early phase/discovery products with academic centersReview and release of marketing/trade press/patient relation/regulatory materialsResponsible for internal reporting regarding the pharmacovigilance of AbbVie products

Education / Knowledge

Degree as an MD, PhD, PharmD or comparable scientific qualificationMedical/scientific background ideally in therapeutic areaUnderstanding of the needs and agendas of leading medical specialists in the relevant therapy areaExcellent knowledge of English and of the local languageBasic familiarity with principles of financial managementWorking understanding of statistical research methodsAdvanced knowledge & experience of Project Management

Experience

Scientific background in Hematology/OncologyMinimum of 5 years’ experience in the pharmaceuticals industryExperience of working in a complex matrix organisationMinimum two years’ experience of managing a teamExperience of working in an in-field, stakeholder-/ customer-facing role preferred
