The Medical Technologist II performs routine and specialized moderate- to high-complexity laboratory testing on blood and body fluids with minimal supervision. This role ensures accurate and timely test results by adhering to quality control procedures, performing instrument maintenance, and troubleshooting equipment or assay issues. The Medical Technologist II also supports laboratory accreditation efforts, mentors new staff and students, and contributes to departmental quality initiatives and regulatory readiness.

Qualifications
2-4 years of experience as a Medical Technologist in an acute care or clinical laboratory setting requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated proficiency in laboratory testing procedures and instrumentation. Familiarity with laboratory regulatory standards (e.g., CAP, CLIA, Joint Commission). Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Effective communication and collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary environment. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting. Proficiency in Laboratory Information Systems and basic computer applications.Licenses and Certifications
ASCP - Medical Technologist or equivalent (ABB, CLS, HEW) required State licensure as applicable by law required
