Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Blood Bank Technologist to join our laboratory team. Previous experience in blood bank within a clinical lab is essential.
ResponsibilitiesPerform qualitative and quantitative analysis on all specimens received in the laboratory for the assigned station.Understand the principles of tests performed and possess working knowledge of the equipment used in the assigned station, specifically in hematology.Responsible for urinalysis, coagulation, and spinal counts.Ensure all specimens are stored appropriately.Adhere to all quality control policies and procedures to ensure reliable patient results.Recognize critical or life-threatening results, verify results, and report to the appropriate clinician.Document all results in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).Essential SkillsNYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist LicenseExperience in blood bank clinical lab.Working knowledge of laboratory equipment and principles of tests performed.Ability to work overnight shifts.Work Environment
This position operates Monday to Friday from 12am to 8am, with rotating weekends. The laboratory is undergoing improvements and offers a competitive pay structure along with opportunities for upward mobility and growth.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $58.00/hr.
