Performs testing in all areas of the clinical laboratory including chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology and urinalysisUtilizes computer systems to communicate resultsCommunicates results by phone as necessaryPerforms quality control to ensure all testing is accurate and precisePerforms basic maintenance and repairs on analyzers and instruments as necessaryReports up issues to supervisors as necessaryReports all tests promptly, accurately, and efficiently to the patient's caregivers in order to assist with diagnosis and treatmentMaintains quality assurance and quality control policies and procedures to ensure validity of test resultsUtilizes critical thinking skills to solve problems, evaluate aberrant patient results and recognize factors that may affect measurements and resultsConsistently follows all required laboratory safety and chemical hygiene plans to ensure a safe working environmentWorks effectively as a team member within the department to provide quality service through communication, collaboration, and cooperationBenefits and Perks:
