DescriptionWe’re seeking experienced and compassionate Medical Surgical Registered Nurses to join our growing talent pool across Emory Healthcare’s facilities. As an RN Clinician, you will apply your clinical knowledge and experience to deliver personalized, patient- and family-centered care using the AACN Synergy Model for Patient Care. This individual will:
Deliver safe, effective, and independent nursing care using the nursing processPerform thorough patient assessments and recognize how nursing care impacts outcomesDevelop, implement, and revise patient care plans based on assessments and input from patients and familiesAccurately document care in both electronic and physical health recordsAssess learning needs of patients/families and provide appropriate resourcesProvide culturally sensitive, individualized careCollaborate with the interdisciplinary team and delegate care effectivelyStep into a developing leadership role, including Charge Nurse duties as assignedSupport orientation of staff/students in the absence of a preceptorApply strong communication and conflict resolution skills in all settingsEngage in quality improvement efforts, policy development, and evidence-based practiceMaintain required continuing education through Emory’s clinical lattice PLAN systemPerform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of an accredited prelicensure BSN program with 12 months of recent nursing experience
OR Graduate of an accredited ADN program with a minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience
Exceptions:
Emory LPNs who complete an accredited RN program and obtain RN licensure may transition into this role through the RN Resident ProgramEmory LPNs enrolled in an ADN program as of 3/30/2025 must sign an agreement to complete a BSN within two years of entering this roleRequired License:
Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license (Georgia Board of Nursing)Certifications:
BLS requiredCLS and department-specific certifications may be required post-hire
