Unlock your potential! **Job Summary and Qualifications** The Medical Staff Coordinator serves as a liaison between the Hospital and Credentialing Processing Center (CPC) on processes related to initial appointment, reappointment and clinical privileging. **What you will do in this role:** + Serve as the primary liaison between the Education Department and Medical Staff Services in relation to Advanced Practice Professional Students. + Serve as the primary liaison between the Academic Affairs Department and Medical Staff Services in relation to Observation requests. + Participate in facility evaluation of current needs surrounding Advanced Practice Professional students and observers. + Facilitate review, assessment, and authenticated documentation of an evaluation of each application and request for observation and student rotation. + Facilitate review, assessment, and recommendations on a quarterly basis with facility Medical Executive Committees. + Utilize “paper-lite” procedures. **What qualifications you will need:** + Associate’s Degree preferred. + Knowledge of medical terminology required. + 2 years of experience as a Medical Staff Coordinator or Credentialing Specialist required. + Certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) as a Certified Professional Medical Staff Manager (CPMSM) and/or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred. + Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with physicians and physician office staff. + Detail oriented with strong analytical skills. + Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
