Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Hospital & Clinics is seeking a Medical Staff Coordinator to join our MEDICAL STAFF SERVICES team!Under the direction of the System Manager-Provider Experience, the Medical Staff Coordinator serves as an essential link and resource between senior management and medical staff to coordinate the operational processes and ongoing credentialing, privileging, and medical staff governance functions. The Medical Staff Coordinator is responsible for coordination and preparation of medical staff functions, review, analysis, and follow up of credentialing and privileging applications, maintaining strict confidentiality, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and accrediting and regulatory agencies.
HOURS: Full Time 1.0 FTE, 80 Hours Biweekly
Experience/Qualifications
Associates degree or equivalent experience. Healthcare experience a plus. Knowledge of medical staff affairs operational processes Knowledge of medical credentialing and privileging procedures and standards Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements Working knowledge of clinical and/or hospital operations and procedures Knowledge of clinical privilege criteria development Knowledge of medical staff policies, regulations, and bylaws and the legal environment within which they operate Knowledge of performance improvement techniques Information research skills Ability to analyze, interpret, and draw inferences from research findings and prepare reports Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of the organization Ability to work independently and in a team. Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information Knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools Database management skills including query and report generation Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgmentsEmployee Benefits
