Location:  Livonia Family Medicine

Schedule:  Full-Time, Days

General Summary:

Assists provider by documenting the provider-patient encounter during the patient exam exactly as it is verbalized.

Responsibilities:

Accompanies provider into the patient examination room to document the provider's encounter with the patient Lists all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions as indicated by the provider. Transcribes patient orders including but not limited to laboratory tests, radiology tests and medications. Documents procedures performed by the provider. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Preferred Qualifications:  Medical Terminology/Medical Education
