**Req Number** 162984 Medical Scribe Suffolk, NY Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am to 4pm Temp to Perm FlexStaff is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Scribe for our client, a neurology practice in Suffolk County, NY. Responsibilities: + Accurately transcribe medical record documentation during patient visits using the EMR. + Prepare and submit documentation for physician review and authentication. + Operate electronic health records and dictation systems. + Anticipate physician needs and facilitate clinic flow. + Maintain discretion and professionalism during patient interactions. + Greet patients and visitors, answer inquiries, and direct calls appropriately. + Schedule appointments, optimizing patient and provider schedules. + Manage patient records within the EMR, verifying information and adding new forms as needed. + Uphold patient confidentiality regarding medical, personal, and financial information. + Perform other assigned functions. Requirements: + High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred). + 1+ year of Medical Scribe experience. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy. + Proficiency in documenting patient care and transcribing appointments. + Strong interpersonal skills, friendly demeanor, and compassionate approach. + Excellent time management and organizational skills. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively. + Ability to frequently sit and stand, use a keyboard/mouse for extended periods, and lift 20 pounds. + Punctual and adheres to departmental attendance policies. + Provides outstanding patient experience through immediate acknowledgement, focused interaction, professional appearance, and positive teamwork. + Demonstrates attention to detail and reports patient, facility, safety, and compliance concerns. Additional Salary Detail The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
