We are looking for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) Epilepsy/Rare Diseases Neurology Netherlands who is agile, with a drive to build strong lasting relationshipsand who has an enthusiastic innovative mindset to come join our Medical BeNeLux Team, to be based in The Netherlands.
About the role
As the MSL you are the field-based scientific expert within neurological, neuromuscular and autoimmune diseases and work externally and internally, and closely with an integrated team across functions. In your role as MSL you are the key scientific discussion partner that interacts with national and international Thought Leaders (Key opinion leaders: KOLs), and other healthcare professionals (HCPs) at various phases of the product life cycle. Core content of these discussions will be topics of unmet medical needs which are of scientific / developmental importance to UCB in epilepsy and rare diseases.
Your role includes scientific discussions, presentations and responses to unsolicited questions, internal medical training, and congress participation.
Who you’ll work with:
You work externally (patient groups, key opinion leaders, and other healthcare professionals), and internally closely with an integrated team across functions and report to the Medical Lead Rare Epilepsy BeNeLux.

Engage in scientific discussions, presentations, and responses to unsolicited questionsIdentify and manage key scientific and medical influencersExplore innovative solutions and services to improve patient carePartner with KOLs, patient organizations, and patients to advance medical initiativesServe as the leading local scientific expert in Rare Diseases, Epilepsy and NeurologyShare insights, innovation, and patient needs internallyCollaborate on the development of real-world evidence and leverage UCB solutions for patients. Co-design and execute local eco-system´s (medical) plan
Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:
MSc in Life Sciences, MD, PharmD, or PhD Fluent in Dutch and English.Proven experience as an MSL is a plus, Strong communication and presentation skills.Ability to interpret and discuss clinical trial results and scientific publicationsBusiness acumen and a holistic view of the healthcare ecosystem.Ability to align scientific insights with business objectivesInfluencing skills, project management expertise, and the ability to build trust.Comfortable working remotely and managing a territorySelf-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skillsSkilled in building relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionalsFamiliarity with regulatory standards and medical affairsAre you ready to ‘go beyond’ to create value and make your mark for patients?
