Job Description
Overall job purpose:
The MSL is a field-based medical professional whose primary responsibility is to engage in non-promotional peer-to-peer communication & provide medical/scientific information to SLs and KDMs based on cutting-edge scientific exchange and services oriented towards the stakeholder’s professional interests & needs.Medical Scientific Liaisons are scientifically trained and credentialed therapeutic area, disease, and product experts who engage in non-promotional scientific exchange with SLs or KDMs (Scientific Leaders or Key Decision Makers). MSLs develop and execute on regional action plans aligned with local and global company policies, local rules & regulations, and products’ Value & Implementation Plan (V&I Plan).The MSL is responsible for ensuring that he/she is fully versed in the therapeutic area and up-to-date on all major studies, both ongoing and completed. MSL need to provide the most balanced data to SLs, KDMS and the healthcare community to improve patients’ outcomes.
Responsibilities and Primary Activities
Scientific Exchange
Develops professional relationships and engages with national and/or regional SLs to ensure access to medical and scientific information on areas of therapeutic interest and Company productsConducts peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintains a reliable presence with those SLs to ensure they have a medical contact within the CompanyAddresses scientific questions and directs SL inquiries on issues outside of MSL scope (e.g., grants) to appropriate Company resources consistent with applicable policiesMaintains current knowledge and comprehension of dynamic scientific and clinical environment in the Company's Areas of Interest (AOI)Research
Upon request from Global Clinical Trial Operations (GCTO), Identifies barriers to patient enrollment and retention efforts to achieve study milestones, recommends study sites, and identifies potential investigators to participate in phase II-IV clinical development programsAddresses questions from investigators and provides information regarding participation in Company-sponsored clinical studiesUpon request from Scientific Affairs, Enhances the comprehension of the scientific foundations and goals of investigator-sponsored researchIdentifies barriers to patient enrollment and retention efforts to achieve study milestonesInitiates discussions with SLs and/or potential investigators that include scientific/data exchange within our AOI to determine the alignment with our research strategies, studies concepts, scientific merit, and qualifications for a specific compound or trial

Qualifications
Master’s degree or above in Public Health, Epidemiology, Immunology, Clinical Medicine, Pharmacy or related fields.Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in vaccine-related Medical Science Liaison, Medical Affairs, clinical department, or public health.Solid knowledge of vaccine science and clinical research background; familiarity with vaccine development and related regulations is preferred.Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to build trust with healthcare professionals at various levels.Strong multitasking and stress management abilities; proactive and team-oriented work style.Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time and work under pressure.Fluent English, fluent office software technology.be able to travel
