Medical Scheduler
Description We are looking for a dedicated Medical Scheduler to join our clients team in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will help ensure seamless scheduling and coordination of patient appointments, while providing excellent customer service and support. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, adaptable, and proficient in using EPIC . Responsibilities: • Coordinate and schedule patient appointments using established scheduling systems and software. • Manage inbound calls from patients, answering inquiries and addressing scheduling needs with precision and care. • Assist patients with appointment-related concerns, ensuring their needs are met with empathy and efficiency. • Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as Epic, to accurately document and update patient information. • Work collaboratively with healthcare providers and administrative teams to optimize scheduling processes. • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail when handling scheduling tasks and patient communications. • Adapt to various scheduling tools and systems to meet organizational requirements. • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and stakeholders, ensuring positive interactions. • Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues to resolve scheduling conflicts or issues. • Uphold confidentiality and compliance standards while handling sensitive patient information. Requirements • Proven experience in medical scheduling or a similar role, with a focus on patient coordination. • Proficiency in using scheduling software and CRM tools. • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as Epic. • Strong customer service skills with the ability to address patient needs effectively. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. • Adaptability to new systems and processes in a dynamic work environment. • Knowledge of healthcare practices and terminology is preferred.
