Position Title:Medical Receptionist
Location: Yorktown Heights, NY
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to support the front desk operations of a busy outpatient clinic. This role involves managing patient check-in and check-out, verifying insurance and copay information, scheduling appointments, and assisting with medical billing and collections.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patients in a professional manner, both in person and over the phone.Respond to inquiries promptly or direct them to the appropriate staff member.Schedule appointments efficiently to optimize provider availability and patient satisfaction.Notify providers of patient arrivals and maintain smooth patient flow.Retrieve and update patient records to ensure accurate and timely information.Verify insurance coverage, process payments, and manage third-party claims.Follow up on outstanding medical billing claims and support collection efforts.Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experienceStrong background in insurance verification, collections, and administrative support.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.High School Diploma or GED required.Work Environment: This position is based in a small, fast-paced office setting. The organization offers a collaborative atmosphere with opportunities for advancement into supervisory roles.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $19.00/hr.
