Are you an organized, detail-oriented professional with experience in medical office administration? Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Receptionist and play a vital role in ensuring outstanding patient care and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Dictation and Correspondence Management: Format provider-created letters in EPIC, prepare for faxing or mailing, and maintain tracking logs to ensure all correspondence is completed and distributed
+ Front Desk Support: Support front desk operations by managing telephone coverage, scheduling, data entry into EPIC, and other administrative tasks as needed
+ Insurance Pre-Authorization: Ensure timely insurance pre-authorizations and referrals and maintain accurate patient registration within EPIC
+ Secretary Coverage: Serve as a backup for the department secretary as needed
+ Professional Interaction: Provide courteous and clear communication with medical staff to clarify dictation requirements.
+ Transcription Management: Track incoming and outgoing dictations using transcription logs and follow up on missing dictations promptly. Organize, file, copy, and distribute completed transcriptions with associated attachments/enclosures
+ Environment Maintenance: Maintain a neat and organized work area while ensuring accurate tracking of dictations and status updates on all logs
Requirements:
+ High school diploma supplemented by medical secretary education, including medical terminology
+ Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience in platforms like EPIC preferred
+ Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with attention to accuracy and detail
Requirements • Proven experience in data entry and administrative tasks within a medical office setting.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and EMR systems, especially Epic software.
• Strong knowledge of insurance processes, including preauthorizations and referrals.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for managing logs and financial records.
• Ability to handle receptionist duties with professionalism and a courteous demeanor.
• Proficient in scheduling and coordinating appointments for patients and medical staff.
• Effective communication skills to manage correspondence and distribute information.
• Prior experience with transcription and dictation in a healthcare environment is a plus. TalentMatch®
