Medical Programs Specialist

The Workers’ Compensation Medical Programs Business Relationship Specialist is responsible for working with the WC Medical Programs team, claim operations, IT and vendor partners to assist in management of WC processes, primarily those related to partnership with our vendors. The position will be an initial point of contact for our largest vendors to routinely manage, investigate issues and propose solution delivery to business leadership.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills – ability to ask the right questions and distill information to key points Strong analytical skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently to manage projects with proficiency in developing and/or revising policies and procedures. Knowledge of workers’ compensation claim services, vendor relationships and IT. Strong acumen to think critically and problem solve in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently while being an integral part of a team.                                Proven ability to handle multiple tasks with proven track record of diagnostic problem solving.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with business and vendors to identify & execute opportunities for improving business processes through information systems and/or non-system changes.  Partner with Chubb IT to manage vendor EDI feeds. Prepare, submit, champion and track IT enhancements and tickets. Assist Medical Programs Specialist with bulk billing preparation and tracking. Assist with draft preparation of Medical Programs scorecard and snapshots. Initial point of contact for vendors and vendor management to ensure smooth flow of work and investigate issues. Work with business partners, including Expressions team to facilitate enhancements to letters, EORs, etc. Facilitate problem solving discussions to identify root-cause and lead to solutions to prevent recurrence. Assist in documentation of business/operations process, workflows and recommended system changes and champion prioritization with IT. Function as a SME for identifying technology solutions for team. Assist in advancing priorities and projects of team. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills. Minimum 5 years’ experience related to workers’ compensation claims.  Strong organizational, critical thinking, prioritization, problem solving, analytical and quantitative skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines. Experience collaborating across work groups with a service-minded perspective. Lean/Six Sigma or Other Business Reengineering Methodologies a plus.

The pay range for the role is $72,400 to $123,100. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.  Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found on our careers website.  The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
