The Department of Radiation Oncology at UPMC Western Maryland is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Medical Physicist to join our dedicated team of 1 Radiation Oncologist, 2 dosimetrists, 4 radiation therapists and 1 CT simulation therapist. UPMC Western Maryland offers state-of-the-art treatment on 2 Varian linacs (1 TrueBeam ,1 Trilogy and 1 PET/CT Sim unit), Eclipse treatment planning system with Aria record and verify database. A partial remote coverage can also be discussed.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the work of dosimetrists to ensure accurate and personalized treatment plans. Collaborate with the Radiation Oncologist to plan and deliver patient treatments. Develop and direct quality control programs for equipment and procedures. Ensure equipment functionality by taking precise measurements of the radiation beam. Perform clinical physics duties, including maintaining Commonwealth regulatory compliance and calibrating all radiation therapy equipment.
