Responsibilities

Consults with Oncologists on the physical and radiobiological aspect of a patient's treatment and the development of treatment plans. Works collaboratively with all staff members, including Radiation Therapists and Dosimetrists, to ensure accurate delivery of treatments. Assure the accurate acquisition and storage of data for treatment plans. Responsible for the physical aspects of all radiation sources. Assist the department Manager / Director in training and mentoring staff, monitoring the work of Radiation Therapists and Dosimetrists.

 

 

Community Cancer Institute, part of the Clovis Community, has been accredited by the Commission on Cancer (COC) and awarded a three-year American College of Surgeons (ACOS) accreditation, making it the highest ACOS designed program in the San Joaquin Valley.

 

 

Qualifications Education• Master's Degree in Medical Physics, Physics, Radiation Biology or a related discipline required• Doctorate of Medical Physics (DMP) preferred Experience• 3 years of experience as a Medical Physicist in a healthcare environment required Licenses and Certifications• ABRP - Board certified in Medical Physics with the American Board of Radiology required
