Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Office Assistant to join our outpatient ambulatory clinic team. This role is essential in ensuring smooth daily operations by providing administrative and limited clinical support to healthcare providers and patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Duties:
Greet and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner
Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and route messages appropriately
Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
Collect and process co-pays and other payments
Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
Prepare and manage correspondence, reports, and other documents
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
1+ years of experience in a medical office or outpatient clinic setting preferred
Proficiency with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
Schedule is M-F 8-430p
