Job Summary

\n

The Med Lab Tech 2 performs and monitors a full range of laboratory testing and research. Assumes responsibility for problem resolution, quality control, and equipment maintenance with minimal supervision.

\n

Shift

\n

Weekly shift would consist of three 12 hour shifts 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM with a rotating shift every third weekend

\n

Essential Functions of the Role

\n\nPerforms laboratory tests in compliance with department procedures and all pertinent regulatory requirements.\nFollows quality control, quality assurance, safety, and infection control procedures.\nPerforms instrument maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.\nAccurately reports test results.\nMaintains appropriate inventory of supplies.\nMaintains effective communication and working relationships with all laboratory personnel, other disciplines, and external customers.\nParticipates in laboratory projects and educational activities.\nDemonstrates and educates laboratory practices and technical skills to others.\n\n

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION - Associate's or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualificationEXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of ExperienceCERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -

       Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT): Must have one of the following certifications: MLT or CLS.
