Our Medical Lab Technologists provide accurate and timely interpretive and diagnostic specimen testing and reporting. Through accuracy, quality, efficiency and expediting test results, you will contribute to patient well-being and the achievement of better health outcomes. LifeLabs facilities are also known as teaching laboratories and offer opportunities to share knowledge in a collaborative environment. You will have 24-hour medical support through our Medical Science team and Medical Library, and the ability to teach our college and university student placements.
Status: Permanent Full Time
Shift: This is a Float position with a fixed weekend rotation- 3 weekends in six- and variable weekdays.
Hours of work are 0600 to 0030. Rotation: Weeks 1,3,5: Variable Monday to Friday, all Saturdays Weeks 2,4,6: Variable Monday to Friday, all Sundays
Discipline: Successful applicant may be cross-trained in urinalysis and/or molecular departments based on operational needs.

College diploma or University degree in Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent education and/or experience. CSMLS registered and in good standing. Excellent communication skills to enable you to relate with a wide variety of people. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment while adhering to LifeLabs standards of safety, accuracy and efficiency. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail who demonstrates curiosity. Ability to distinguish multiple colors. Strong computer skills in MS Office products, as well as laboratory analyzers. Problem solving skills, including the ability to identify and follow-up on issues. Ability to maintain the strictest standards of safety, patient privacy and confidentiality.
