Position Requirements:
Must be a U.S. CitizenBachelor's degree Graduate from a medical technology programMedical Technologists (MT) and/or Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) The MT or MLT must be certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or American Medical Technologists (AMT) or an equivalent MT, MLS, or CLS certification with appropriate training and a minimum of one year of experienceAll Medical Technologists must have a minimum of one year of experience as a Generalist. A generalist is defined as a Medical Technologist that can perform testing in all areas of the Clinical Laboratory, to include Chemistry, Blood Bank, Hematology, Immunology, and Urinalysis. Additionally, experience in Microbiology is preferred
Position Responsibilities:
Performs testing accurately, identifies methodology problems, and enters data as required proper documentation and determining acceptability of resultsDetermines proper collection and timely submission of specimensProcesses specimens in a timely manner , following written guidance in Lab policy for specific turnaround time ratesPerforms and reports all tests in accordance with established procedures, in an effort to meet specific turn-around-time criteriaPerforms quality control procedures on assigned instruments and methods as perQuality Control procedureAnalyzes and interprets test and control data. Reports results expediently for stat testingDetermines proper collection and timely submission of specimens.
