Medical Lab Scientist I – Special Chemistry (Evening Shift) Location: Cleveland Shifts Available: + Mon–Fri, 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM (Rotational Weekends) + Sun–Thu, 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM + Shift Differential:10% Evening | 15% Weekend Make a Measurable Impact in Advanced Clinical Chemistry Join a high-performing team at the forefront of specialized diagnostic testing. As a Medical Lab Scientist I in our Special Chemistry Department, you’ll play a critical role in delivering high-complexity, precision testing that directly influences patient outcomes. What You’ll Do + Perform manual and automated sample extraction using Tecan, Hamilton, and pipetting techniques. + Conduct chromatographic analysis using HPLC, GC-MS, and LC-MS platforms. + Review calibrations, quality control, and chromatograms with a sharp analytical eye. + Ensure accurate and timely release of test results in compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, and OSHA standards. + Troubleshoot instrumentation and assay performance issues, escalating as needed. + Maintain meticulous documentation for specimen handling, testing, and proficiency assessments. What You Bring + Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with 25+ chemistry credits, including analytical and instrumental coursework (CLIA requirement for CA). + 1+ year of experience in a clinical, pharmaceutical, or research lab preferred. + Hands-on experience with HPLC, GC-MS, or LC-MS is highly desirable. + Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and a passion for laboratory science.
