Responsibilities The Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) functions as a laboratory professional who assists other laboratory personnel in specimen collection, specimen receiving, specimen processing, laboratory testing, process improvement, and quality initiatives. Qualifications Job Requirements: High School or equivalent. Basic computer skills and strong customer service skills. Preferred Job Requirements: Certification from a nationally recognized agency as a phlebotomist upon hire. Certification from a nationally recognized agency as a medical lab assistant within 2 years of the hire date. Experience working in the clinical setting. Pay Range Minimum: $18.31 Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
