Medical Head - Finland - Nordic Marketing Company

We are seeking a Medical Head for our Biopharmaceutical Business Unit in Finland, where you'll be based in our vibrant new office in
Espoo. As a pivotal leader, you will guide a team of ~10 professionals and report directly to the Country Director Finland, you will be part of the Finland leadership team.

Your mission is to drive the medical strategic direction and resource planning across our CVRM, R&I, and V&I therapy areas, ensuring ethical leadership and fostering collaborations that enhance patient access to life-changing medicines. Accountabilities:

Lead and mentor a team including TA Leads, Medical Advisors, and Market Ethics LeadsSet clear medical priorities and ensure high standards of scientific and medical leadershipDrive evidence generation and shape clinical practice through strategic initiativesRecruit, develop, and coach new TA leaders and ensure ongoing professional development for the teamPromote talent management and support individual growth with training, development, and feedbackCollaborate across functions to align medical and business strategies, supporting franchise teams on market ethics and complianceBuild strong networks with external medical experts and key collaborators in all TAsEnsure seamless teamwork with other Nordic Medical Heads and engage in the Nordic Medical & Regulatory Leadership teamOversee resources and budget allocation to maximize impact and operational excellence

Essential Skills/Experience:

- Master degree in life sciences

- Thorough knowledge and experience within the pharmaceutical industry including Medical Affairs function

- Understanding of health care systems and payer structures in Nordic countries

- Experience leading teams in current or previous roles

- Proven track record of strong leadership skills

- Experience in relevant TAs

- Business-oriented thinking without compromising scientific elements

- Ability to work strategically with projects and collaborate with academia

- Effective change management skills

- Strong relationship building skills

- Proficiency in Finnish and fluency in English

Desirable Skills/Experience:

- Good understanding of Pharmaceutical Development (e.g., Clinical Research and R&D strategy)

- Any experience in other areas (market access, marketing etc)

- Managerial experience of leading cross-cultural teams

- Experience in Nordic and/or International positions
