Medical Device Assembler
**Job Title: Operator I** **Job Description** This is a non-exempt position responsible for the production of high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell. The role involves performing assembly, repair, and test operations on pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related medical device assemblies. The work is done under close supervision and follows specified procedures. **Responsibilities** + Perform routine assignments and ensure all relevant job documentation is accurate and up to date. + Communicate effectively with manufacturing management and maintain a positive attitude with both internal and external customers. + Follow safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices during all operations. + Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives to enhance production processes. + Maintain accurate records to ensure traceability and address quality issues. + Demonstrate a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing. + Collaborate with the Manufacturing Supervisor/Manager to set and monitor individual and cell performance goals. + Support divisional initiatives and regulatory requirements for Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Environmental Management Systems (EMS). **Essential Skills** + Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures and verbal instructions. + Experience with electronic data collection systems and computer software. + Ability to prioritize work and make critical decisions with minimal supervision. + High school degree or equivalent required. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in cleanroom environments and operating microscopes. + Experience with implantable devices, such as medical catheters. + Experience with small hand devices and tools like tweezers. + An associate's degree, particularly in a medical or technical field, is advantageous. **Why Work Here?** Join a team dedicated to producing life-saving medical devices in a supportive and collaborative environment. The role involves working with small components and operating a microscope most of the day. Adherence to a detailed dress code is mandatory, including specific guidelines for clothing, footwear, and personal grooming to maintain a contamination-free environment. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plano, Texas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $18.25/hr.
