The Position

Medical and Science Liaison

Job Summary

1. Facilitate and develop the professional relationship with the medical/scientific communities by communicating non-promotional product-related information to investigators and institutions
2. Build and deliver in-depth comprehensive knowledge and experience in disease areas
3. Provide clinical expertise in the development, management and maintenance of clinical and scientific communications, including research, publications, and educational materials, meeting/event
presentations and information etc
4. Work collaboratively with other cross-functional partners, stakeholders and peers in setting and implementing the medical plan tactics at the local, regional and global levels

Main tasks and responsibilities

A. Strategy Planning & Execution

- Develop local medical plans aligned with global and region: plans for developing and clinical and scientific communications, other relevant research, data, information, publications, clinical and scientific education, advisory boards, clinical and scientific congresses, other conferences and meetings etc.
· Participate in a variety of cross-functional tactical planning meetings, reviews and discussions
· As assigned, support a supervisor and other peers in gathering information, analyses, research and reporting to support global, regional, and local tactical planning
· Manage assigned projects with full budget responsibility
· Maintain and improve the medical quality process and achieve medical quality objectives through daily actions

B. Medical and Clinical Expertise
· Critically analyze medical and scientific literature, data and effectively communicate knowledge within and external to the organization
· Contribute in design and development of clinical trials, other studies and investigations
· Coordinates continuing education workshops, seminars, and programs
· Medically represent Roche Diagnostics at national and regional scientific and/or clinical conferences
· Attends appropriate International Scientific congresses to develops in-depth understanding of clinical practices and regulations, collect insight into current lab and clinical practices and guidelines.
· Organize and manage advisory boards as required

C. Communication
· Acts as the clinical / scientific point of contact from Roche within respective disease / product area(s)

· Build relationships with regional Key Opinion Leaders and demonstrate the improved clinical outcome
· Maintain the highest standards and levels of scientific, clinical and technical expertise in the specific therapeutic area(s) of assignment; reviewing and keeping updated on scientific/medical journals and other relevant publications, attending scientific, clinical, commercial and other key meetings, forums, venues, etc., as well as continuous communication and effective partnering with various stakeholders

Education & Qualification
Bachelor degree above, in medical, pharmacy, nurse, science or related areas

Experience
+1yr of relevant working experience in healthcare industry
Clinical research, MSL related experience preferred

Competencies

· Medical writing and speaking
· Understanding on scientific and medical publication
· Strong knowledge in KGCP, ICH-GCP
· Skills in documentation and archiving
· Ability to priorities, plan& evaluate deliverables
· Good command of spoken and written English
· Good oral and written communication skills
· Computer literacy desirable
