Description Robert Half is actively seeking a skilled contract Medical Claims Representative to support our client in East Hartford, CT. This position is ideal for professionals experienced in medical claims processing and insurance authorization who are looking to contribute to a fast-paced healthcare environment in a short-term capacity. Key Responsibilities: Process and review medical claims to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reimbursement. Investigate and resolve claim discrepancies and denials, including communication with insurance providers. Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical coding (CPT/ICD-10) and industry billing guidelines. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other healthcare-related policies. Accurately document claim status and interactions within company systems. Provide exceptional customer service to clients, patients, and insurance carriers. Requirements Previous experience in medical billing, claims processing, or related healthcare administrative roles. Proficiency with medical coding systems (CPT, ICD-10) and claims adjudication processes. Strong familiarity with insurance guidelines, EOBs, and claim handling procedures. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare-related software platforms. Exceptional communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
